Provisional Psychologist (BPsych, MCouns)
Melissa is a dedicated Provisional Psychologist with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counselling. Currently completing the 4+2 supervision pathway, Melissa brings extensive experience in therapeutic intervention, behaviour support, and psychological assessment, with a strong focus on paediatric and adolescent mental health.
With a diverse background spanning schools, child protection services, NDIS-funded therapy, and family support, Melissa has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings. They provide evidence-based psychological interventions, supporting individuals with emotional regulation, behavioural challenges, anxiety, trauma, and neurodevelopmental differences.
Melissa has a strong passion for Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and is experienced in developing strategies to help children and young people improve communication, self-regulation, and social engagement. Their approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each individual’s unique goals, helping children and families navigate challenges and build resilience.
With a passion for trauma-informed care and neurodiversity-affirming practices, Melissa is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for their clients. Their warm and client-centered approach ensures that children and families feel heard, valued, and supported on their therapeutic journey.
